For Class 6 admissions, the applicant must be currently studying in or have passed Class 5 from a recognized school at the time of application. Similarly, for Class 9 admissions, the student should be in or have passed Class 8 from a recognized educational institution. 

There are no strict marks criteria, but performance in the AISSEE (All India Sainik School Entrance Exam) plays a vital role in selection. Hence, a strong academic foundation is essential.

Students must also show general awareness, numerical ability, and English language proficiency to compete effectively in the entrance exams. The curriculum is usually aligned with CBSE standards, so students studying under CBSE or state boards can apply without issues.
